If you’ve had your eye on the new M1 MacBook Pro, it may be time to spring for an upgrade. Amazon is selling the M1 MacBook Pro for $1,200 today, knocking $100 off the MSRP and matching the lowest price we’ve ever seen.

The new MacBook Pro has a 13-inch display, 8GB of unified memory, and the Apple-designed M1 processor with an 8-core CPU and GPU that delivers a tremendous speed boost over its predecessor. You also get up to 20 hours of battery life and a 16-core neural engine. In our 4.5-star review, we called the MacBook Pro “an astounding machine” that’s nothing less than “a revolutionary moment for the Mac.”

The sale applies to either storage option, so we recommend getting 512GB just to be safe. Recent reports suggest that the SSDs in the new M1 Macs might wear out sooner than expected, so a higher capacity drive could be a good investment.
